Due to editorial pressures as a result of pandemic, as of January 2021 we are currently limiting submissions to haiku and haiga only. We will return accepting a wider range of material (haibun, sequences, special feature proposals) in the near future.

We publish 4 issues a year, with the following submission deadlines for haiku:

  • Spring issue published in April (submission deadline: 31 March)

  • Summer issue published July (submission deadline: 30 June)

  • Autumn issue published in October (submission deadline: 30 September)

  • Winter issue published in January (submission deadline: 31 December)

Haibun, haiga, sequences, and special feature proposals are not restricted to submission windows and can be sent at any time.

Submitted work should follow these guidelines:

  • Work submitted may be on any theme or subject, but works that embody the nature tradition of both haiku and Welsh    poetry are of particular interest.

  • Poems submitted should be unpublished and not under consideration elsewhere.

  • Please submit 5-10 poems at a time.

  • Please submit haiku once only for each issue.

  • Poems should all be included in the body of your email, and not attached as a .doc or .pdf file.

  • Submissions of haiga/photo haiku should not contain any word/image credits in the works themselves.

  • Submissions may be sent at any time for consideration and will be published in the next available issue.

  • We aim to respond to all submissions within a few weeks, but during busier reading periods responses may take 6-8 weeks. All poets will receive a notification if their work has been accepted or not.

  • Suggestions for essays and reviews are also welcome. Please direct any queries to the Editor at the email address below.

Best of luck with your submissions, we very much looking forward to receiving them.
